John Lewis initial Black Friday update

Customers were quick to respond to Black Friday deals from John Lewis, with the busiest shopping hour online between 7am and 8am with an average of 495 units ordered per minute.

Customers shopping online between 12am and 8am used the John Lewis App as they browsed at home and on their way to work. The use of the App for snapping up Black Friday deals is up 36.8 per cent from last year.

The use of mobiles was also a popular way to shop, up nine per cent on last year.

  • The Sonos Play 1 Smart Speaker is the biggest technology seller (£149.00) and we sold on average 19 per minute.
  • The top seller by value in Home is the John Lewis Sacha Sofa Bed (starting from £699.00)
  • Best sellers for Beauty include CREED Aventus Eau de Parfum (£207.00) and Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser (£13.60).
