James Mack appointed as Director of John Lewis Money

James Mack appointed as Director of John Lewis Money.   

John Lewis Money is the financial services business of JLP, offering insurance, the Partnership Credit Card, travel money, as well as point-of-sale payment options. 

James brings significant experience from a range of financial services businesses and regulatory environments, having most recently held CFO roles at Barclays Bank, Aldermore Bank and the Co-op Bank.  James has been interim Director of financial services since April 2024.

Nina Bhatia, Executive Director for New Business at John Lewis Partnership said: “James has already proven himself to be a fantastic leader of our financial services business, embracing our Partnership values and working closely with the Waitrose and John Lewis teams. We have exciting plans for John Lewis Money and I’m confident James will deliver these with the team and grow the business through its next chapter.”

James Mack said: “It’s been an exciting five months in the Partnership and we’ve already delivered some great wins, including growing customer numbers, a refreshed brand and introducing new ways to pay for the Partnership's 23 million customers. I’m looking forward to continuing to grow the business by offering financial products and services that our customers can trust.”
