To celebrate the reopening of Waitrose John Barnes on Finchley Road, we are hosting a street party outside the newly refurbished shop on Wednesday 21st August with live music, face painting, surprise giveaways and delicious food and drink.
Open from 8am, the first 50 customers who visit Waitrose John Barnes will be presented with ‘golden tickets’ worth £50 to spend instore. The new store will have a number of new and refreshed features including; a new look and feel bakery, the first fully chilled beer, wine and spirits department, a dedicated made-in-branch baguette station, a hot chicken and salad counter, as well as a dedicated parmesan bay and a fully updated refrigeration system. John Barnes will also be the first Waitrose store to boast a dedicated hot wok counter, serving ready to go meals to customers.
Showcasing their brand new instore offering, doughnut aficionados Crosstown will be onsite giving out samples of Waitrose exclusive flavours including Matcha & White Chocolate filled doughnuts and Dark Chocolate Truffle filled doughnuts. Daily Dose, Dash Water and Cadbury’s will be giving out complimentary samples at various times on the day.
Customers will have the opportunity to try a range of Waitrose summer delicacies on 21st August from Welsh Rarebit Pork Scotch Eggs to Waitrose Summer Beef Smash Burgers with Bone Marrow and Red Leicester melts and our award winning No.1 Cornish Sea Salted Caramel ice cream. There will also be a variety of refreshments to try including tasters of No.1 Espresso Martini and Pina Colada mocktails.
Serving as a trial for new concepts, John Barnes is the second Waitrose store which forms part of our store journey which started in Sudbury. Further shop updates will be announced over the coming weeks.
