John Lewis Partnership event for retail analysts

JLP event for retail analysts.

The John Lewis Partnership today held an event for retail analysts.

The event was hosted by Bérangère Michel, Executive Director, Finance, and Member of Partnership Board and Executive Team; Andy Mounsey, Group Finance Director; and Lynn Lochhead, Head of Treasury for the Partnership.

Analysts heard about how the John Lewis Partnership employee-ownership model and social purpose mean we act differently to conventional businesses and can take a long-term view.

The presentation explained:

  • how the Partnership is transforming from a strong financial footing;
  • the Partnership’s debt position is at historic lows;
  • how the Partnership model means we manage liquidity prudently;
  • that we will continue to be creative about funding options, while any future funding will be consistent with employee-ownership; and
  • why the Partnership’s pension scheme is healthy and well funded.

A presentation can be found here.
