Waitrose has announced the relaunch of its hugely popular Wine Tasting at Home ‘in-person’ experience after the service was offered virtually over the past two years due to social distancing guidelines.
A fun way to reconnect
Andrew Riding, Drinks Experiences Manager at Waitrose, said: “We know how much our customers enjoyed our drinks experiences, from gin and cocktails to wine tasting, which is why it was important to us to be able to continue these virtually over the past two years. But now in-person tastings are back and we are delighted to bring these experiences to people in their own homes. It’s also a great way to reconnect teams at work as we return to the office once again.
“To support with demand, we’ve trained up nearly 50 Waitrose Partners by supporting them through their Level 2 Wine Spirit Education Trust (WSET) qualifications so our customers know that the experience will be first-class every time.”
How it works
From £35pp, customers who book the Wine Tasting at Home Experience will have the opportunity to discover the fundamentals of wine tasting from the comfort of their own homes. Six bottles will be delivered prior to the tasting and sampled during the session. An expert Partner will be on hand in person to guide guests through each wine while also providing guidance on food and wine pairings, as well as hosting a full Q&A at the end of the experience.
