Working towards a happier world means giving support where it’s needed most. Our Foundation is dedicated to sharing the skills and resources we have within the Partnership, focusing on the social and environmental challenges where we can have a positive impact.
We believe that with access to education and training, young people have limitless potential. So we’re helping them find the path to meaningful employment.
We’re proud of our Partners’ wide range of talents and specialisms. We’re even prouder to facilitate volunteering and secondments, which enable them to share their skills to help registered charities.
We recognise that our planet is under increasing pressure and everyone has a responsibility to help. We’re committed to understanding, protecting and restoring the natural world in a socially just way.
We want to do what we can to improve the lives of people who have grown up in care. That’s why we’ve made long-term commitments to be there for young people who are care experienced.
Our number one goal is to make a difference in people’s lives and create positive social and environmental change. We want to achieve the biggest impact we can, using every resource we have to provide help and support within communities.
Our work is delivered through four funds which focus on the areas that we and our customers care strongly about. From sharing our skills to conserving habitats for local wildlife, our reach allows us to improve lives and protect the planet.
We believe in promoting a fairer and more inclusive society. And we work hard to understand the nuances of complex societal and environmental issues, so that we can provide the best support possible and make the biggest difference.
Our foundation is funded directly from the John Lewis Partnership – as well as with money raised by our amazing Partners, suppliers and customers. We then invest in our communities and generate opportunities via monetary donations, Partner volunteering or strategic relationships with charities. We’re driven by active engagement with each community, working together to find the best ways to have the biggest impact.
Our Trustees come from both within the John Lewis Partnership and external positions and are responsible for governance and grant making.
