It’s long been a tradition to say it with flowers on Mother’s Day. But this year many Mums will receive a bouquet of the ‘build your own’ variety.

LEGO bouquets - geared at the adult market - are growing rapidly in popularity as a mindful activity with sales up 817 per cent over the last two weeks compared with the same period last year.

Best sellers for Mother’s Day include LEGO daffodils, Sunflowers and the most complex bouquet Icons 10313 Wildflower Bouquet, which comes in 939 different pieces and 16 adjustable stems featuring a variety of interesting and intricate plants. 

Catherine McCann, Toy & Books Buyer from John Lewis, said: 

“With the soaring popularity of floral LEGO arrangements, many Mums will be enjoying floral gifts which will still be in full bloom this time next year.

“We’re seeing LEGO sets really develop as a mindful activity for adults and these sets offer the perfect way to unwind after a hectic day.

With the hashtag #legoflowers having already had 31.8K posts on TikTok, many are tapping into Lego as a mindful trend.
