John Lewis has collaborated with Scandinavian artist Anine Cecilie Iversen to create a homeware collection of 114 pieces, which launches in time for Mother’s Day.
Fionnuala Johnston, Design Manager of Home, said: “We’re delighted that Anine has collaborated with us to create this collection. The mix of modern florals and Scandinavian style, lends itself beautifully to this collection”.
The exclusive collection combines a modern approach to florals with a Scandinavian aesthetic that translates perfectly across textiles, tableware and lighting. Inspiration for the collaboration was ‘A Scandinavian Retro Summer Cottage’ full of bright harmonious colours, classic patterns and beautiful details. Each piece has been thoughtfully designed to pay homage to this look and feel by pairing reimagined floral designs with bold shapes.
The Danish artist has long been a favourite amongst the retailer's customers as the artist behind popular John Lewis art collection, La Poire, with sales from the collection rising by 60% in comparison to last year.

John Lewis x Anine Cecilie Iversen Flower Cup & Sauce, Pink/Green £18, John Lewis x Anine Cecilie Iversen Zinnia Cushions, Blossom £50, John Lewis x Anine Cecilie Iversen Fine China Cake Plate, Set of 4 £20.
Her works are inspired by nature, her love of paired back design, simple illustrations and bold colours.
A self taught painter, Anine was encouraged to create by her father, an art teacher, who introduced her to watercolours at a very early age. Anine Cecilie Iversen, Artist and Graphic Designer said: “My childhood has inspired this collection, all my summer memories are reflected in these illustrations. My family home was surrounded by nature which I always found so calming, and inspiring.”
“I’ve always had a passion for creating and expressing myself visually. This opportunity with John Lewis has enabled me to explore a way to transport my designs onto a different medium which has been a wonderful opportunity.”
The collection comprises cushions, tableware, bed linen, textiles, home accessories and lighting with pieces ranging from £9 for a water glass to £195 for a quilted bedspread. The collection is available in stores and online at johnlewis.com.
