John Lewis Partnership enhances Click & Collect Service to deliver customers more convenient ways of shopping this Christmas

Monday 19 October

  • Service expanded to John Lewis customers in the Channel Islands and Northern Ireland
  • Click & Collect service now available for Sweaty Betty purchases from sweatybetty.com and Nespresso customers

The John Lewis Partnership has today announced a number of enhancements to its Click & Collect service to make shopping even more convenient for customers this Christmas.

From this week, Click & Collect will be available for the first time from all Waitrose shops in the Channel Islands, which includes two shops in Guernsey and three shops in Jersey.  This follows the addition of around 400 new Co-op Click & Collect locations this summer - including three shops in Belfast, Northern Ireland, bringing the total number of locations where customers can pick up their John Lewis purchases this Christmas to nearly 900.

Separately, Nespresso and Sweaty Betty customers can now collect their purchases from Waitrose and John Lewis shops.  Sweaty Betty purchases from sweatybetty.com are available for collection in 297 Waitrose shops, while Nespresso purchases are available in 48 shops across the Partnership.

Andrew Murphy, Executive Director, Operations at the John Lewis Partnership said: “We’re always looking for ways in which we can make customers’ shopping experience easier and more convenient, however and whenever they want to shop with us. An increasingly important part of this involves adding more locations through which customers can collect their purchases; whether that’s our own shops or  - in areas where we have little or no physical presence - by partnering with others.  Our online trade continues to be exceptionally strong and  - in the run up to Christmas especially - it’s increasingly important that customers know they can take delivery of their John Lewis purchases quickly, locally and at low or no cost.   We’re also pleased to be able to offer the same convenient service in a number of our own shops to customers purchasing with Sweaty Betty and Nespresso, allowing us to drive more people into our shops in the lead up to Christmas.”

John Lewis customers can now access Click & Collect in nearly 900 locations. This includes 331 Waitrose branches, 42 John Lewis shops, 12 Booths and more than 500 Co-op locations.

The list of locations from which Sweaty Betty and Nespresso customers can collect their parcels will be listed as Click & Collect locations on the brands’ websites.
