'Total sales for the week were down 2.7 % on the same week last year.
Fashion sales were up 5.8%, driven by sales of Womenswear which were up 21.7% and Womens Accessories which were up 8.3%. We also saw customers buying new season items with Autumn Winter Womenswear up 5%.
Home sales were down 7.1%, however, customers were refreshing their homes with decorative touches as we saw rugs up 17%, mirrors up 4% and art up 6%.
Electrical and Home Technology sales were down 6.6% as we competed with a strong week of Environmental Care product sales including fans and air purifiers alongside last week’s cooler weather.'
