'Total sales excluding fuel were down 2.5% compared to the same week last year.

Good performers included party food, and the return of our 10 Fine Wines at £10 promotion - both proved popular as customers took the opportunity to stock up for the party season.

In time for Christmas, we are launching beetroot flavoured Quail eggs. The ‘free to fly’ British Quail eggs are lightly pickled in beetroot, giving them their vibrant purple hue and a subtle beetroot flavour.'
