Award-winning British designer Alice Temperley is bringing her signature look to the new collection

Dress to impress
John Lewis is launching an exclusive new womenswear collection designed by Alice Temperley, arriving in shops and online in September.
The 60-piece collection is named Somerset by Alice Temperley, after the designer's home county. It will include accessories and versions of signature Temperley pieces, such as Victoriana blouses, military jackets and floaty Bohemian-inspired dresses.
Working with Alice Temperley has provided an opportunity for the retailer to launch and build an entirely new and exclusive brand, says Jo Hooper, Head of Womenswear Buying.
'Alice Temperley is a very well-established designer who has dressed celebrities including Halle Berry, Keira Knightley and Kate and Pippa Middleton,' says Jo.
'Now we're able to bring her unique handwriting to our customers.'
Jo Bennett, Buyer, JL Collection Womenswear, adds: 'This will be an exclusive addition to our current womenswear offer. We've worked hard to ensure that the price structure is accessible to a wider audience, without compromising on quality.'
The collection will arrive in 29 John Lewis shops and online on 4 September, accompanied by an advertising campaign featuring British model Lily Donaldson.
Prices will range from £29 for a scarf to £1,000 for a sheepskin coat. Watch Alice Temperley talking about the range on YouTube (www.youtube.com/johnlewisretail).
