A new flexible-format shop in Exeter also opened in October 2012, offering customers a full John Lewis assortment including fashion, home, nursery, consumer electronics and beauty.
At Waitrose, its convenience store format is designed to attract passing customers and commuters to and from work as well as offer a distilled selection of products across the board, from essential Waitrose to Duchy Originals from Waitrose. Waitrose has recently confirmed plans to open up to 20 new little Waitrose shops in and around London by the end of 2012, creating 1,200 jobs.
