The John Lewis Partnership has been awarded in two categories at the inaugural People and Environment (PEA) Business Awards, winning the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Building and Construction awards.
Head of CSR Gemma Lacey picked up the CSR award, which recognizes the Partnership's carbon reduction work and efforts in educating customers. The Construction award highlights the Partnership's responsible development framework, which sets out our targets in terms of building new shops and offices. The award was collected by Steve Cole, General Manager, John Lewis Construction. The Partnership was also shortlisted in the transport category.
The PEA Awards were launched to celebrate how environmental initiatives can be good for business as well as the planet. The judging panel was comprised of environmental and business experts including Tony Juniper and Deborah Meaden.
Gemma Lacey said: 'These awards are a brilliant achievement and testament to the hard work and dedication of our Partners working together across our business to achieve environmental sustainability.'
