Achievements

Public perception of our work is an important indicator of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance. We are therefore delighted to be commended for our CSR programmes and initiatives by external parties and to receive recognition for our Partners who work hard to deliver these programmes and the organisations we partner with, without which we could not achieve these successes.

27 April 2012 Winners of the first Waitrose way awards announced Waitrose has announced the winners of the inaugural Waitrose way awards, which celebrate outstanding initiatives by suppliers to enhance the sustainability of their businesses.
23 February 2012 Waitrose Stratford City rated outstanding Waitrose Stratford City has been awarded an 'outstanding' rating by the Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM), making it Britain's 'greenest' shop within a shopping centre.
23 February 2012 Partnership fleet receives golden accolade The John Lewis Partnership has received a Gold award in the Transport for London (TfL) Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme.
27 January 2012 Partnership picks up two PEA Business Awards The John Lewis Partnership has been awarded in two categories at the inaugural People and Environment (PEA) Business Awards.
06 January 2012 Waitrose's Community Matters wins Big Society Award Prime Minister David Cameron has presented Waitrose with a Big Society Award in recognition of its Community Matters scheme.
