Principal authority and accountability rests with the Director of Personnel, while the divisional boards of Waitrose and John Lewis each have a board sponsor. Day-to-day responsibility for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues in the Partnership rests with line management, backed up by the CSR team.
The Partnership's dedicated CSR team are responsible for developing the CSR strategy, policies and objectives of the business. The team, with its technical knowledge and expertise, supports the business by providing guidance and support to deliver a wide range of CSR projects and initiatives. They are also responsible for communicating the Partnership's CSR policies and programmes both internally and externally.
