Partnership Services Leadership Team

Richard was appointed Director of Partnership Services in June 2009 and is responsible for the creation of this Division as a shared service operation. He joined the John Lewis Partnership in 2002 as Head of Financial Strategy and was appointed Finance Director at Waitrose in July 2004. Richard qualified as a chartered accountant with Ernst & Young in 1994 and in his early career he worked in commercial finance for Superdrug/Kingfisher and then in strategy and category management at House of Fraser until the end of 1998. He then moved to strategy consulting with LEK, where clients included Marks and Spencer. Richard founded and ran a market research firm, Survey.com before selling his shares in 2002 to join the John Lewis Partnership.

Kevin joined Partnership Services in March 2010 as Programme Director to work alongside Richard in establishing the division. With expertise in managing large scale Personnel, Finance and IT change programmes in both the public and private sectors, Kevin leads the work to grow Partnership Services as the shared service centre for the John Lewis Partnership. His previous roles have included similar engagements in financial services, property and facilities management and legal services.

Simon Newton joined the Partnership in March 2012 from Kimberly-Clark where he worked for 17 years. His last role as VP Global Shared Services saw him lead several major transformation projects including the creation of the shared service centre supporting Kimberly-Clark's European business. Simon has twenty-five years experience in both commercial and operational finance and prior to Kimberly-Clark he worked for ATI Technologies, ICI and Nestle Rowntree.

Sallyann joined the Partnership in February 2012 from Barclays where she held several HR roles at a senior level, most recently HR Director for Retail and Business Banking HR Service Transformation and was responsible for Barclays' global HR systems and shared service.  Prior to joining Barclays, she worked as an HR Director for SC Johnson and was also a senior Business Partner for Unilever.
