New department stores are planned for Birmingham in 2015 and Westfield London in 2017.

A new flexible format shop is planned to open in Chelmsford in 2015. This format sits between the full size department stores and the 'at home' shops. The shops, averaging 65,000 to 100,000 square feet, will highlight Fashion, Home and Consumer Electronics products.

Our 'at home' format focuses exclusively on the home sector including home and electrical and home technology assortments, and with no fashion assortment. We plan to open new 'at home' format shops in Basingstoke and Horsham in 2015 as part of co-locations with Waitrose.

John Lewis opened a 3,600 sq ft shop at Heathrow's Terminal 2 in June 2014 curating the best of home, fashion, gifting and seasonal ranges.

In addition we expect there to be further opportunities for additional department stores and will look for growth through our multi-channel strategy, particularly johnlewis.com.
