John Lewis voted Britain's favourite retailer

John Lewis department stores has been voted Britain's favourite retailer in a poll of over 6,000 shoppers. The survey - published today by retail analysts Verdict Research - ranks John Lewis first for customer satisfaction.
John Lewis has come either come first or second in the survey ever since it began back in 2000 (seven times first place, four times second place).
Customers were asked to rank high street shops on a number of key criteria: range, price, convenience, quality, service, ambience, facilities and layout. John Lewis also came top in two sectors - homewares and electricals.
Andy Street, Managing Director of John Lewis, said:
'It is extremely rewarding for John Lewis to continue to be the UK's favourite retailer. During the past twelve months Partners have worked very hard to deliver the service that our customers expect. This year is likely to see a long, slow recovery, therefore it is even more important that we continue to provide customers with inspiring products, great value and exceptional service.'
