Our progress and performance

Measuring our performance and progress both qualitatively and quantitatively is vital to managing our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) risks effectively and making sure our programmes and initiatives are meeting their objectives.

The direction and trend in our quantitative CSR performance are measured against a set of key performance indicators which cover all the major areas of CSR (environment, community, workplace and marketplace). These indicators are consistent with those used by others in our sector and therefore enable us to benchmark our performance against our peers.

In order to assess the quality of our CSR management systems we have set stretching future performance targets and commitments which we report our progress against.
